Jennifer Lowman
Jennifer Lowman is the Assistant Director of Institutional Support at Eastern University. Working in conjunction with the Director of Institutional Support, she researches potential grant funders, writes and coordinates grant submissions and reports, and works closely with other University offices to support their funding priorities.
Jenny has extensive experience working in the nonprofit world. Most recently, she served as a grant writer and then executive director of a small nonprofit that reopens public elementary school libraries in Philadelphia using volunteers. She previously worked for a dozen years as a senior staff attorney with the Education Law Center in Philadelphia. She also taught Legal Research and Writing at Temple University Beasley School of Law. Jenny is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Lehigh University.
Jenny currently serves as a school board member for the Cheltenham School District and a board member for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU). She helps coordinate the work of an all-volunteer organization called the Philadelphia Alliance to Restore School Librarians (PARSL). She lives in Glenside and she is the proud parent of two young adults. Jenny likes to spend her free time reading, watching movies, baking, snuggling with her dachshund, and playing tennis.
