Anne Filippone

Interim Vice President for Student Development


Dr. Anne Filippone serves as Interim Vice President for Student Development at Eastern University. In this role, Dr. Filippone oversees Residence Life and Housing, the office of Faith & Practice, Student Health Center, Career Development, Student Engagement, Counseling Services, Multicultural and International Student Services, Student Conduct & Title IX. She is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters student growth and development, particularly through the lens of Christian spiritual formation.

Prior to this role, Dr. Filippone served as the Dean of Student Engagement and Leadership at Cabrini University. With more than 20 years of experience in student affairs, including 10 years in Academic Affairs, she is focused on student success, well-being, and belonging. She has extensive experience in integrating leadership strategies cross-divisionally, and working collaboratively on campus-wide initiatives, including retention, strategic planning, and reaccreditation.

Dr. Filippone earned her Ph.D. in Organization Development and Change from Cabrini University; M.S. in Student Personnel Administration from SUNY Buffalo State University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Shippensburg University.

A native of Delaware County, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband, Steve, and her daughters, Julianna and Addison.
