Dianna serves as Lecturer in the Social Work Department at Eastern University, teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Since graduating from Widener University, she has been blessed to work with diverse populations in many service settings. Dianna’s areas of professional interest include developing creative, interactive, and discipline relevant teaching strategies, serving in crisis response, and fostering collaborative relationships with students. In addition to serving as Lecturer at Eastern University, Dianna maintains a private practice in Delaware County, PA.
Committed to being a lifelong learner, Dianna is at the end of a Doctor of Social Work Program. The focus of her research includes “Understanding and Assessing Critical Thinking Using Active Learning Strategies in Undergraduate Social Work Courses.” With the information she has gained during her doctoral studies, Dianna aims to develop and share a student-centered, learning-focused pedagogy that encourages student growth while increasing retention and success for underprepared and vulnerable students.
