Dr. Matthew Ramage—a composer, pianist, and horn player from Pennsylvania—received the D.M. in Theory and Composition from Florida State University where he studied composition with Dr. Liliya Ugay and Dr. Steven Montague. He also holds the M.M. in composition from Bowling Green State University where he studied with Dr. Mikel Keuhn, Dr. Christopher Dietz and Dr. Marilyn Shrude, as well as the B.S. in music education and the B.A. in horn performance, theory, and composition from Lebanon Valley College where he studied composition with Dr. Scott Eggert and Dr. Justin Morell.

Most recently, Dr. Ramage provided music and sound design for a multimedia dance piece called Eye On The Future produced in support of Little Sun, an organization focused on providing universal access to clean energy. Other performances include his Variations on a Scottish Folk Tune for viola and piano and his piece Tempus Fugit for clarinet, violin, cello and piano, which was recorded by the Unheard-of Project. His pieces Alone for alto saxophone and fixed media, and Angular Discourse for saxophone quartet were performed during the North American Saxophone Alliance 2020 Biennial Conference at Arizona State University.

Dr. Ramage has held adjunct faculty positions at the University of Florida, Florida State University, Bowling Green State University, and Lebanon Valley College where he has taught a variety of courses in the music theory, composition, and music technology areas. He also has experience recording numerous ensembles in many different settings. Most recently he engineered multiple recording sessions for the FSU chapter of the Society of Composers Inc.
