Nicole Koefler graduated from the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University where she studied psychology and theology. Nicole also earned her MA from the University at Buffalo (UB), SUNY, and is currently earning her PhD in Social-Personality Psychology. Her current research focuses on people's perceptions of safety and threat in their environment, and the unique ways people fulfill the fundamental need to belong. In addition to her academic pursuits, Nicole also works closely with her faith community at the New Apostolic Church where she continues to study theology and lecture current ministers on belongingness needs in the congregation.
