Tom Dahlstrom

Assistant VP for Institutional Effectiveness

Thomas A. Dahlstrom is the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness.  His responsibilities include leadership and oversight on university research for decision-makers, accreditation and government reporting compliance, university-wide surveys, and survey design, data analysis, and strategic planning metrics.

Tom came to Eastern in 1982 as a full-time faculty in undergraduate and graduate business programs.  He has served as undergraduate business department chair, director of the traditional and economic development MBA programs, and has developed and taught courses for the College of Education and the PhD in Organizational Leadership.  While a full-time faculty member, Tom won the Lindback Award for Excellence in Teaching.  Prior to Eastern, he served as a full-time faculty member and Registrar at Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma and a middle school math teacher in Illinois.

Tom earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Elgin Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Education from Illinois State University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University.  

He resides in King of Prussia with his wife, Sue, an elementary teacher and librarian; they have a daughter who resides in England, and a son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren who live in Philadelphia.   Tom and Sue attend Hope Community Church in King of Prussia, where they host a weekly small group in their home as well as provide leadership for a monthly cooking ministry.
