Public Observing Sessions are a wonderful opportunity for people from the community to enjoy the Bradstreet Observatory as an invaluable educational resource. By reservation only, these nights are very popular and are typically booked 3-4 months in advance.
Using our 16-inch Meade telescopes, you will get a chance to look at celestial objects and take pictures of them (which will be e-mailed to you). Our digital camera allows us to capture beautiful snapshots of objects our eyes can barely see. The nights usually start around 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. and run about an hour and a half.
