Eastern University is excited to implement this new program which provides free tuition for qualifying students who are or were in the foster care system.
Eligibility Requirements
- File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Apply for the Chafee Grant at PHEAA.org
- Meet Chafee Grant eligibility requirements. (Note: you are not required to be awarded the Chafee Grant.)
- Be a resident of Pennsylvania
- Have a HS Diploma or a Commonwealth of PA Secondary School Diploma
- Be under the age of 26
- Be a youth in foster care, or discharged or adopted out of foster care on or after the age of 16
Benefits of the Program
Students who qualify for this program will have their tuition and mandatory fees* covered by grants and scholarships.
*Fees do not include room and board charges, bookstore charges, late fees, service charges, parking or room fines, or any other charge that is not required in order to complete a degree at Eastern University.
