Katie Tzorfas is a Manager of Academic Quality in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Eastern University. She is also an adjunct professor teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and a student teaching supervisor.
Katie was a special education teacher for 18 years before she came to Eastern University. She was a learning support teacher at Upper Darby High School for 4 years and spent the last 14 years of her teaching career at Wissahickon High School. Katie worked with students with a variety of different disabilities in the learning support classroom. She also taught various executive functioning classes and co-taught general education Language Arts classes at each grade level. Katie earned her undergraduate degree in Special Education from the University of Scranton and her master’s degree in educational leadership from Neumann University. In addition to her Special Education teaching certificate, she also obtained her Language Arts teaching certification (grades 7-12).
