Allysa Carilla, MA, MT-BC, is an adjunct professor at Eastern University and Cairn University, a board-certified music therapist, counselor, and chaplain. She earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2024 and her BM in Music Therapy, with a minor in Psychology, from Immaculata University in 2019. She is an LPC candidate, anticipating completion of licensure requirements in January 2027.

Her professional expertise spans behavioral health, private practice, and Christian ministry, focusing on role expansion, program development, and management at Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, Recovery Centers of America, and Christ’s Home. Her clinical training is trauma-informed with an emphasis in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Assertiveness Training, and Faith-Based Counseling. She has clinical experience across the lifespan, from infancy through older adulthood, encompassing the entire continuum of behavioral health care—from residential to outpatient in nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Her experience includes school-based services, early intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dementia-specific adult day services, mobile therapy, and private practice. 

Her professional outreach includes mental health education, university presentations, church women’s ministries, music therapy, and substance use treatment and prevention. A worship leader for seven years, Allysa continues serving local church fellowships and shares music ministry through her YouTube channel. Outside of work, she enjoys songwriting, fellowship, and playing pickleball. She is passionate about integrating faith, research, and education to equip students to fulfill their God-given calling.
