Ashley Overby
Ashley Overby earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Messiah University in 2011. Following graduation, she began her bedside nursing practice at Lehigh Valley Health Network, working in the Adult Cardiac Intensive Care Unit before transitioning to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in 2014. Throughout her clinical career, Ashley has actively served as a charge nurse and a preceptor to incoming nurses.
After completing her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at La Salle University, Ashley began teaching clinical courses for Eastern University’s undergraduate School of Nursing in 2021. She has instructed Adult I, Adult II, Adult III, and Pediatric clinical rotations across numerous Philadelphia-area health systems. Outside of nursing, Ashley loves spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and playing games. She is involved in the children's ministry at her church, where she also met her husband in youth group. Together, they have three children who frequently lobby for family trips to Disney World.

I believe nursing is a profoundly impactful profession. My career in nursing has been both intellectually stimulating and a meaningful way to love and care for 'the least of these.' It is impossible to fully appreciate the power of nursing without recognizing our need for the Savior, who first loved us and demonstrated an unconditional love that transcends every boundary. My hope is that the Lord uses my passion for nursing to inspire students, challenging both their clinical understanding and their personal relationship with Jesus.
