Dr. Cassandra L. Parrish is the Assistant Director and an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Counseling Psychology Department at Eastern University. In addition to her academic work, she provides outpatient psychotherapy and psychological assessment services at Dr. Jenny and Associates. A Licensed Behavior Specialist in Pennsylvania, her clinical interests include psychodynamic and relational approaches to psychotherapy, collaborative and therapeutic assessment, and the integration of objective and projective methods in psychological evaluation. Her assessment experience also includes psychological evaluations for women discerning a vocation to religious life.

At Eastern University, Dr. Parrish teaches, advises, and mentors graduate counseling students, oversees clinical training and placement experiences, and serves as a member of the university's Institutional Review Board (IRB). With over 14 years of experience in the behavioral health field, her professional background spans outpatient, inpatient, and community-based settings informing her approach to clinical education and supervision. Beginning her career in direct support and case management, she has held a variety of roles, including behavioral specialist, clinical supervisor, and psychotherapist, bringing a breadth of clinical experience and perspectives to her work as an educator. Her scholarly interests include the biopsychosocial dimensions of shame, attachment and relational dynamics, existential approaches to psychotherapy, and the use of projective methods to deepen psychological understanding.
