Professor Karen McGowan joins CBL as a Visiting Lecturer to teach accounting and finance courses, bringing over forty years of executive finance and operations leadership to our students. She currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at QualiTech, having previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer there for four years, and she has been the founder and principal of McGowan Consulting, LLC since 2012, serving such corporate clients as Cargill, Boston Scientific, Lifetouch/Shutterfly, and Patterson Companies. Earlier in her career she held senior finance roles at Patterson Companies, Northwire Inc., SALO LLC, and Deluxe Corporation. Karen has an M.S. in Business Research and Management and an M.S. in Taxation, both from Temple University, along with dual B.S. degrees in Accounting and Finance from LaSalle University, where she also previously taught as a Lecturer. She is a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant.
