Jim is a 30-year veteran of the real estate investment management business with extensive capital markets and investment experience. Based in Philadelphia, he is responsible for co-leading Madison Marquette’s Capital Markets Advisory practice. 

Jim joined Madison Marquette with the 2019 merger of The Roseview Group.  He has raised more than $5 billion of capital from institutional investors for a wide range of real estate investment vehicles, including funds, joint ventures and operating companies. Over the course of his career, Jim has invested more than $1 billion of equity in all property types across all major markets through a variety of structures. Prior to joining Roseview in 2014, Jim was Managing Director of Talmage LLC, an investment management company focused on acquiring commercial real estate debt, and Chief Investment Officer for Callahan Capital Partners, a national office real estate operating company. Previous positions included serving Copley Real Estate Advisors, Security Capital Group, Equity Group Investments and Greystar Real Estate. 

Jim earned a B.S. from Suffolk University and completed his course work for an M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University. He serves on the Dean’s Advisory Committee at Suffolk University and is a member of Pension Real Estate Association.
