St. Davids, PA – Eastern University recently hosted Faith on the Field, a taped event for ESPN Radio presented in conjunction with 610 AM Sports. The show, which featured Philadelphia Phillies pitchers Jerad Eickhoff and Jeanmar Gómez as special guests, drew a live audience of over 400 people to Eastern’s campus.
Before the show began, Eastern sat down with Eickhoff and Gómez for behind-the-scenes interviews about how their faith impacts their positions as major league baseball players. The players also shared some fun facts including their favorite hobbies, favorite Philly cheesesteaks, and whether or not they use social media on game days. Enjoy the videos of these exclusive interviews below!
Faith on the Field is currently running on ESPN's Philadelphia radio affiliate, 610 AM, on Thursday nights from 5 to 6 p.m. ET. The show is hosted by radio personality Rob Maaddi, Pastor Phil Moser, and Eastern University Senior Lecturer in Kinesiology, Doug Horton. Horton is also co-founder of the obstacle course event Goliathon, which raises money for charity.
