St. Davids, PA, July 22, 2016: Eastern University is pleased to announce a new partnership with Wycliffe Bible Translators USA. The partnership will provide a tuition discount in the amount of 20 percent for all Wycliffe employees and missionaries (including their spouses and dependents) enrolling into a large selection of adult undergraduate and/or graduate programs.
Aileen Agoncillo, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Wycliffe said of the new alliance, "Eastern University is not simply an institution for academics; it is a place committed to the formation of people to have an impact on society, the Church and the world. Wycliffe is grateful to partner with Eastern University to allow our global workforce an opportunity to continue their formation, so they too will have a deepened impact among the communities we serve."
Mumia Parham, Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances at Eastern University added, “William Borden, a Christian Missionary, reflected on the concept of partnering together and he says, ‘If ten men are carrying a log – nine of them on the little end and one at the heavy end – and you want to help, which end will you lift on?’ Eastern University is pleased to become the partner that is willing to carry the heavy end of the log. To this end, Eastern is excited to extend our tuition discount program to Wycliffe. We are dedicated to preparing our graduates for thoughtful and productive lives of Christian faith, leadership and service. Together we hope to make an impact globally as we watch God’s ultimate plans unfold.”
This partnership is set to run through January 31, 2018. More information and a full list of included adult undergraduate and graduate programs can be found at eastern.edu/wycliffe.
