  • The specific type, source, nature, or extent of the University’s institutional or programmatic accreditation
  • The ability of students to transfer credits earned at Eastern University to another institution
  • The ability of graduates to meet certification, licensure, or employment requirements upon completion of a program
  • The requirements for program completion, or the circumstances under which a student may be dismissed from a program
  • The availability, frequency, or suitability of courses and programs in relation to the career outcomes the University states those programs are designed to support

All public-facing materials, including webpages, advertising, promotional materials, press releases, academic catalogs, and more are reviewed for compliance with these federal expectations to ensure they do not misrepresent the educational experience offered. 

Staff members in Marketing, Admissions, and other relevant offices are trained regularly on appropriate messaging to avoid misrepresentation and ensure that all communications align with institutional facts and current program offerings. When applicable, the University notes that certain information, such as program availability or course offerings, may be subject to change and includes disclaimers where appropriate to avoid misinterpretation. Program descriptions and outcomes are developed and reviewed in collaboration with academic departments to ensure accurate representation of program goals, requirements, and career alignment.
