“This fall, I was fortunate enough to serve as an editorial intern with Running Press Book Publishers.  My time at Running Press was an eye-opening experience for me as I worked with three editors on staff who assigned me to various tasks each day.  I did everything from performing competitive title research to proofreading, writing catalog and cover copy, and assisting editors with other projects. I was even able to give opinions on new ideas for books and research their market potential using the company’s tools and databases. Through the experience I learned some of the inner workings of a publishing company, including the business and practical aspects of how an idea for a book goes from manuscript to bookshelf.”
