Our innovative self-paced, flexible design allows us to provide a high-quality education at a fraction of the price of most other programs. Instead of professors lecturing at set times, setting due dates, requiring you to learn exclusively from their materials, or requiring you to be in a cohort, our expert faculty have created online, video-based coursework suited to your learning styles. This maximizes flexibility to learn as a part of your busy work, family, and personal life, and lessens the need for expensive faculty input.
Founded in 1925, we have a long legacy of providing high-quality academic programs, rooted in our core values of faith, reason, and justice. Our goal with the LifeFlex model is to provide students with affordable, convenient programs that fit into their busy lives and empower them to reach their career goals.
This innovative, self-paced, 100% online format allows students to complete their coursework at the pace that works for their schedule. Within each 7-week period, you can move as quickly as you’d like. You can also choose whether you want to take one or two courses per 7-week term; and you are welcome to take terms off from classes to allow for professional and personal responsibilities.
Within the parameters of our 7-week course structure, students can complete the assignments at their own pace.* There are no specific "log in" times, which maximizes flexibility for you to work around your schedule. All assignments must be completed by the end of the 7-week session.
*Note: In select classes, due dates are implemented for certain major assignments to provide the course instructor with adequate time for grading.
While economic trends and hiring patterns always fluctuate, both recent and long-term data show that an MBA is an excellent investment--especially when the upfront investment is affordable. Evidence from recent studies show that business professionals with an MBA experience lower unemployment rates and higher salary levels compared to those with bachelor degrees only.
In addition, a recent Graduate Management Admissions Council study revealed that 90% of MBA graduates rated the value of their experience favorably and 85% believed their MBA investment had positive outcomes. Also, for those in junior level roles, over two-thirds reported moving up at least one job level after graduation.
One method that experts recommend for determining an MBA's return on investment (ROI) is the "salary-to-cost" ratio: consider the average salary and other related income (bonuses, stock options, etc.) over a chosen period of time and divide by the cost of completing the graduate program. When viewed over a lifetime, career earnings for MBA graduates can grow into the millions compared to those with undergraduate degrees alone.
Of course, all of this information is at the macro level and your specific experience can vary based on personal circumstances. Overall, however, the investment in an MBA continues to deliver steady benefits for job opportunities, promotions and salary increases for graduates.
Yes! Students can connect with other professionals, both students and faculty, through networking events, in-class forums, office hours, and our College of Business and Leadership LinkedIn.
Our program reflects on the critical, moral, philosophical, and spiritual values often overlooked in MBA programs, and students are prepared for a life of meaningful leadership and reflective learning. Faith integration offers students an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of themselves, their relationships, their vocation, their community, and society at large.
Note: While Eastern University is rooted in Christian faith, we welcome all students to enroll in our programs! No faith background is needed to apply or to be successful in this program.
AI has become one of the most powerful and quickly-adopted technologies in the Digital Age. It is already transforming many industries and job roles and will continue to do so at a rapid pace. A study by Microsoft and LinkedIn revealed that 76% of employees believe AI skills (including generative AI question prompting) are crucial for advancing their career, and 69% acknowledge AI skills are essential to remain competitive in their industry.
Rather than respond with a restrictive policy concerned primarily with academic integrity, Eastern University's College of Business and Leadership has developed a proactive approach to empowering our students in the MBA program to become among the most effective and ethical users of this powerful technology. MBA students with AI experience are already more qualified and in-demand in the job market.
For example, our MBA courses lay out clear guidelines for the use of AI with each and every assignment, ranging from AI restrictions (for quizzes and tests) to "AI augmented" assignments where use of AI to strengthen a discussion post or paper is encouraged as long as it is cited and referenced appropriately. In some exercises, AI use is required so that students can practice their AI prompting skills to make the system work harder for them and uncover richer, more reliable analysis. We also provide an AI training video to ensure students are aligned with expectations on AI use.
At Eastern University, we are enthusiastic about the ethical, effective use of AI to empower students to transform business and beyond.
