Professor Megonigal is an Assistant Professor of Data Science at Eastern University, teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research focuses on mathematical biology, specifically modeling antibiotic transportation through heterogeneous biofilm environments.
Prof. Megonigal earned her BA in mathematics from Eastern where she was also in the Templeton Honors College and minored in astronomy, and she has loved being back at Eastern as a professor. She enjoys teaching a wide variety of courses in data science, computer science, and mathematics. When not teaching, Prof. Megonigal enjoys spending time with her husband, Luke and playing games with her family.
