Dr. Longo is an Associate Professor of Data Science at Eastern University.  His teaching interests revolve around helping students discover ways to answer their own big questions using data.

Much of his research has utilized a variety of statistical methods to explore individuals’ religious and spiritual experiences, or lack thereof.  

Dr. Longo came to Eastern University after teaching at the University of Montevallo, where he taught a variety of courses in research methods and statistics, served on the numerous university committees, and was program director for psychology.

Dr. Longo lives with his wife and two daughters.  Together they enjoy reading, dancing, and being outside with their dog.
