To assist in providing a comfortable and safe living environment for all residential students, please follow the instructions below.

Is something wrong or broken in your room? Please give any maintenance requests to your RA and/or RD, who will put in a work request for you.

Please be advised that Plant Operations may gain access to your room between the hours of 9am-5pm. Denying them entrance to your room will result in delays of service.

Safety & Security

Please do not leave doors propped open. This will also help with energy consumption.

In case of emergency, please make your way to the nearest available exit following the map on the back of your door. Contact Public Safety (610-341-1737) or servicestop@eastern.edu.

It is critical that no foreign items be placed in our waste water system (i.e. toilets or sinks). This includes, but is not limited to: feminine products, “biodegradable” wipes, food, hair, paper towels, etc. Only toilet paper is to be flushed.

Laundry

Please follow all instructions posted onsite. Do not overload the machines. Do not use “Scent beads” in washing machines. Please refrain from using bleach, as it can remain in the unit and may ruin the next person’s clothing.

Windows

Please ensure all windows are closed during inclement wet weather.

Pest Control

To help avoid bugs and other pests coming into your room, all food should be sealed in hard plastic, glass, or metal containers when not being consumed. Removing trash promptly and regularly will also help to avoid the presence of pests.
