St. Davids, PA: Eastern University is excited to host Grammy Award Winning Christian rapper, Lecrae, for a concert on the St. Davids campus Friday, March 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.. The concert, sponsored by Creation Festival, is the second to be held on Eastern’s campus this semester, after Irish folk rock band, Rend Collective, performed in January.
Lecrae’s show will be part of the Higher Learning Tour and is being taken to cities all over the country, including many other colleges and universities. Joining Lecrae at his show in St. Davids will be DJ Promote and gospel artist, Liz Vice. In addition to general admission, VIP tickets are available and include a meet and greet with Lecrae as well as a tour poster and early access to the merchandise table.
Over the years, Lecrae has earned worldwide recognition and has been applauded by entertainment organizations all over the country. According to his official online biography, “Lecrae is an artist that redefines mainstream popular culture. Thematically, one can find inspiration, faith and honesty in his music...As an artist, Lecrae has nearly reached the pinnacle of success. He's released seven bestselling albums, two mixtapes and won two Grammy awards and a Billboard Music Award in the process and landed a global distribution deal with Red Distribution/Sony Music for the record label he co-owns, Reach Records.”
Tickets are available at a special discount to members of the EU community while supplies last and can be bought via the Student Activities Office in Walton Hall. Tickets are $20 for faculty and staff and $17 for current students with a valid Eastern ID.
Individuals outside the Eastern community can buy tickets for $25 at creationconcerts.com.
