St. Davids, PA: Eastern University has once again ranked as one of the Best Regional Universities in the North by U.S. News and World Report for 2024-2025.
According to U.S. News and World Report, the rankings are based on a number of factors of quality including graduation and retention rates, academic reputation, student excellence, faculty resources, financial resources, promotion of social mobility, and alumni giving. This ranking once again places Eastern among the top educational institutions in the Middle Atlantic and New England states.
Notably, Eastern was also included on the list of Top Performers on Social Mobility this year. According to U.S. News & World Report, “economically disadvantaged students are less likely than others to finish college, even when controlling for their achievement in high school.” This list assesses how well universities graduated economically disadvantaged students, highlighting those who were the most successful in the social mobility category.
